During late January 2013, the Union Church Historic Site was painted to protect the wood from decay. Not only was the old wood painted, but the new wood (added as part of the roof replacement in March 2012) was painted. Also, the non-historically correct windows were termporarily removed until historically correct ones can be procured and installed.
